Food Recipes : Ikan Bakar Colo Colo Ambon -- Sambal colo-colo is
a spicy sauce from Ambon, Maluku. It’s very suitable to enjoy with grilled
fish, just dipped the fish into sambal. people ambon or maluku often eat
grilled fish and sauce colo-colo as a side dish with cassava, sweet potatoes,
boiled banana, sago as traditional food, but you can use white rice instead.
Ingredients
1 fish, grilled
12 cayenne chillies, sliced roughly
4 Tomatoes, cut into
pieces
8 cloves of Onion, sliced roughly
Liquid butter or cooking oil sufficiently
2 tablespoons lime juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon granulated sugar
2 tablespoons of sweet soy sauce
50 ml of white water
How to cook
- Combine all prepared ingredients (cayenne, tomato, onion, sugar, oil and salt) and mix well.
- add water with lemon juice and stir until blended. If you like, you can add 2 tablespoons of sweet soy sauce. Customize to your taste and your family.
- Serve sambal colo-colo with grilled fish that is still warm.
Do not forget to add with fresh vegetables such as
eggplant, lettuce, long beans and basil to look more tempting.
