Food Recipes: Gado-gado

Gado-gado or Pecel, is one of the foods from Betawi, but now you can find it every where in Indonesia. It can be regarded as salad. It contain of vegetables boiled and mixed together, with peanut sauce, boiled egg, boiled potatoes, and fried onions. Emping or crackers (fish or shrimp) are also added to rich the texture. Healthy and tasty.




Ingredients:
150 grams of bean sprouts (brewed with hot water, lift and drain, set aside)
2 chicken eggs (boiled, halved) 
2 pieces of fried tofu (diced or to taste)
5 pieces of long beans (lunch, cut to taste, boiled) 
A bit of Cauliflower (boiled)
1 cucumber (peeled skin, cut to taste)
1 piece of potato (boiled, cut to taste)
1 carrot (boiled, cut to taste)
Shrimp crackers small (to taste)

Peanut Sauce
200 grams of peanut, fried
3 pieces of cayenne pepper, fried
4 cloves garlic. fried
Red sugar
Salt
4 orange leaves
1 tbs of tamarind water

How to Make  
Puree peanuts that have been fried with chilli, garlic and salt until smooth. 
When its smooth, enter the tamarind juice, orange leaves and brown sugar and then puree again while stir well. If the ingredients of the sauce is smooth, brewed with a little hot water.
Prepare a serving dish then arrange bean sprouts, eggs, fried tempeh, fried tofu, long beans, cauliflower, cucumbers, potatoes and carrots. Flush with peanut sauce and serve with small prawn crackers.
Gado-gado ready to eat into a delicious and super healthy cuisine.
