Food Recipes : Bekakak Chicken -- Bekakak chicken, or ayam bekakak is from West Java. It has a taste of the perfect blend of savory, sweet and spicy. In addition to the chicken, the taste of this dish comes from thick coconut milk used to dislodge the chicken.

Ingredients
(700 grams) Chicken village
1 liter of thick coconut milk
3 pieces Leaves greetings
3 cm Galangal
1 stalk of lemongrass
3 pieces of orange leaves
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp Pepper

Ground spices:
6 Onions
4 cloves garlic
6 candlenut, roasted
1/2 tbsp rough coriander, roast
2 cm Ginger
2 cm Galangal
3 cm turmeric
3 large red chillies, cored

How To Make

  1. In the pan, boil the coconut milk.
  2. Add chicken, spices, bay leaves, galangal, lemongrass, lime leaves, salt, sugar and pepper. Stir well. Cook over low heat until the chicken is cooked and tender. Lift.
  3. Burn the chicken in the coals or use a sticky griddle. Occasionally sprinkle the rest of the chicken stew seasoning. Burn to both sides of the chicken look brownish. Lift.
  4. Ready to be served.
