Food Recipes : Sate Padang -- Sate Padang is
a satay from Padang, West Sumatra. It’s really differrent from Sate Madura.
Sate Madura had a sweet taste from peanut sauce, meanwhile Sate Padang had more
savoury and spicy taste. Various spices typical of West Sumatra is used in this
recipe, so the aroma and taste produced can make anyone who try it addicted. It
seems almost no one who does not like Sate Padang. Even President Barrack Obama
a few years ago while visiting Indonesia said that he likes Sate Padang, aside
from Bakso (meatball) and Nasi Goreng (Fried Rice).
Ingridients:
250 gr beef, cut
1 lemongrass
4 orange leaves
2 leaves of turmeric
2 seeds of kandis acid
25 gr rice powder, dissolve in a little
water
Roughly ground bean, sufficiently
1 L Water sufficiently
Puree Spices :
6 cloves of red onion
4 cloves garlic
3 large red peppers
2 pieces of red curly pink
3 cm turmeric, grilled
1 teaspoon cumin
1 cardamom
1 tsp coriander powder
1 cm ginger
1 cm galangal
Salt sufficiently
Pepper sufficiently
A little sugar
Complementary:
Ketupat
Fried onion
How To Make
- Heat a little oil, saute fine spices and orange leaves, turmeric leaves, lemongrass and galangal. Saute until fragrant and cooked
- Enter the pieces of meat, stirring. Pour water, kandis acid, salt, pepper and sugar. Cook until the meat is tender and the water reduced.
- Pick up the meat, stab it into a skewer. Grilled while smeared with cooking oil
- Heat the remaining sauce, pour the rice flour solution. Give peanut ground nuts. Stir to cook.
- Take a plate, Cut Ketupat, put some satay, flush with spicy sauce and sprinkle with fried onions.
You can change Ketupat with white rice. Enjoy.
